On The Simple, Unskilled Act Of Speaking The Truth

Some people can, some people can't and some people can't not.

  1. Some people can speak the truth (e.g. Narayana Murthy, Amitabh Bachchan, you, Rajdeep Sardesai), some people can't speak the truth (e.g. Rakhi Sawant, Kapil Sibbal, Mogambo, Shaakaal) and some people can't not speak the truth (e.g. Mahatma Gandhi, Raja Harishchandra, me).

I'm maybe venturing beyond the scope of the blogpost but there are still others who can't say (either truth or untruth) - for example, Shivraj Patil, Tushar Kapoor. And there are still others who can say whatever but whatever they say doesn't matter e.g. Dhritrashtra, Kapil Dev, Manmohan Singh.

I hope I'm lucid enough now.

A rather long answer to a rather short question. Huh.

  2. How simple yet how profound. You are a wonderful observer I must say. It is a common truth of life but somehow no one seems to have verbalized it.

P.S.I don't have a fear of sounding too effusive.

  3. Thanks for reading, happilypensive. I read your blog and it reminded me of the boy I was at college. Your posts, that is. Not your favourite quotes. I lacked that sunny optimism.

I must thank you for calling me good at observing things, because, I must confess, I do certainly aspire to be a little better than the average person at the damn thing.
